Dear Staff, I am a user of Event Espresso and I used to use your calendar on my website up to yesterday. Unfortunately the website wnet down because of a bug and my host assistant had to remove Event Espresso. Can you please le me know how I can restablish the calendar on my website and how can I get back the list of participants to an event I organized 6th of February.
Thanks,
Federica

Hi Frederica,

There are very few instances where Event Espresso would need to be removed from a site, disabled maybe but not removed.

May I ask what the bug was, and what exactly the host assistant did on the site?

In short, you’ll need to reinstall the latest version of Event Espresso on the site, as long as the host has not altered the database all of your event data will still be available.

Do you have an active support/update license for Event Espresso currently? The account you are posting from does not so just check you don’t have another?

Hi Tony, I had to remove Event Espresso because there were problems with the database. I was getting this error

L’installazione di PHP non ha l’estensione MySQL necessaria per utilizzare WordPress.

I do not know what excatly the host assistant did but he surely removed Event Espesso. As for my account it might be on the email woolcrossing@gmail.com
I was using a free version I believe.

If there is a subscription to pay I will do that but I would need you n to add the plug in on my website as I do not know how to deal with it.

Thanks,
Federica

That translates to something like:

The PHP installation does not have the MySQL extension required to use WordPress

Which would point to an issue with the server rather than Event Espresso so I’m not sure why they’ve removed Event Espresso here but we don’t have enough info to know for sure 🙂

Ok, so it looks like you were using EE3 on the site, do you know which add-ons you were using? Calendar add-on as an example.

As far I understand there was a bug with Event Espresso.
I am not sure I am going to answer correctly to your question but I am going to copy what I see in my plug-in page referring to Event Espresso.

– Out-of-the-box Events Registration integrated with PayPal IPN for your WordPress blog/website.
– A full calendar addon for Event Espresso. Includes month, week, and day views.

Thanks,
Federica

Oh, so you currently have Event Espresso installed (just not activated) on the site? Which version numbers for those?

Right below the text your copied it should show ‘Version’
