This is a real problem and needs to be fixed ASAP. I’ve looked on other forum topics and tried to follow the instructions to no avail. See my event here: http://mikimi.org/event-registration/?regevent_action=register&event_id=5 Basically, anyone that buys a ticket is not charged anything and they are confirmed as paid attendees. Please please please help me with this right away as we are losing money. I see that this has happened for a few others and I’m surprised that this isn’t something that is much more securely developed. |
Hi Elad, I’m so sorry to hear this. What other forum topics have you looked at? One thing that you can check is the default payment status. When Event Espresso is installed, it is set to “incomplete” by default. It can be changed to another status though. Another important thing to check is for a possible plugin conflict. There was an update to the Jetpack plugin that has caused some problems like the one you’ve reported. We’ve fixed it in the next version that we are testing (the fix is included in the new pre-release version), and you can work around the Jetpack issue in the mean time by deactivating the Publicize and Sharing modules. Please see this post for more info if you have Jetpack installed: |

Here’s an example of another thread with the same subject: https://eventespresso.com/topic/charging-a-zero-dollar-amount/ I’ve followed all the instructions already in terms of JetPack. Another issue, when I look deeper, is that the people have for some reason not even chosen a time for the event, even though that is standard. Very weird. Any thoughts on all this? |
Hi Elad, The other topic was resolved by updating one of the add-ons. In that case, they had an older version of the wp-user integration/members add-on installed. I’m going down through the page source of your site, and one other thing that needs to be done is the registration page needs to have caching disabled. The WP-Super-Cache has setting under Advanced settings where you can list pages that should not be cached. The registration page and payment pages need to be set so they are not served as cached files. Once you have that set, you can clear the saved cache in the wp super cache admin to ensure that you’re not serving up a cached version of the registration page. |
