Is there a way to accept Groupons for select events?

Example: If I ran a two different Groupon Deals, one Event1 @$49 and one for Event2 @$59 is there a way to prevent vouchers for Event1 being used to register for Event2?

Please advise. Thank you!

Not currently. The Groupon Add-on is really basic right now, but we’re going to release a major update after 3.2 is complete.

So, no workaround, eh? I wanted to run another feature but don’t want previous voucher purchases to be used for different upcoming events and vice versa. Any idea if the major update will contain this type of change?

No, there’s no workaround currently because the Groupons aren’t even attached to a specific event, so there isn’t a way to restrict a particular set of codes to one event and not the other. The planned update (some work has already begun on it, but it was tabled temporarily in favor of more pressing issues) should include support that would allow you to assign Groupons to a specific event (which would then feasibly allow you to have multiple promos running at the same time). However, it hasn’t been built out that far yet, so I can’t say for sure, but that’s definitely among the things we’re trying to accomplish and fix.
