I have manually entered 300 Groupon codes. I have a Groupon deal that will go live on Saturday and want to ensure everything is in working order. When users register for an event on my website, do they enter the Groupon code in the “Promo Code” field?
Here is a link to an event: http://www.vinoandcanvas.com/event-registration/?ee=15
Thank you.
It’s actually the “Enter Voucher Code” field. In this case it looks like you’ll need to go into the event editor for this event and change the setting under “Groupon Options” where it says Allow Groupon codes? to Yes.
You are right. I still need to change those settings.
Question…. My Groupon deal is 2 people for the price of 1 OR 4 people for the price of 2. Ideally, I want both or all 4 names entered (depending on the deal) so that I can capture names and data for each event. The deal is for the full amount and the user will not need to pay any additional fees. I read in another forum, that the voucher code reduces the fee to zero. If this is correct, then I believe I will be able to capture the data I need by leaving group registration active. Right?
Yes. In the case where your deal is for multiple people, then you would want to leave Group registrations on. You may need to monitor the codes used just in case someone tries to register 4 people where they only bought one 2 for 1 deal.
