Hi,
We are having a big event for sailors. Participants have to be individually registered although they’re on the same boat. However we also need to know what boat all attendees are on in order for us to arrange seating etc.
Currently we have an extra field for boat name for all attendees. Meaning that if you make one registration for 10 sailors, you will have to add the name 10 times. We need their individual names.
Is there a smarter way to do that? We also have users registering some of the crew, and then the remaining crew registers later on.

Hi Alexander,
Is this like a regatta where sailors are registering their boats including their participants?
If so, you could do this:
1) Create a custom question group and then add a custom question for the extra participant names.
2) Create another custom question group for boat name and a custom question for boat name.
3) Then enable the name of boat question group for the primary registrant and then enable the name question group for the additional registrants question group for the event.
Then if a sailor registers themselves and 10 guests, then their information will be requested including a name, email, and the boat name. And a name will be requested for each additional participant but no email address.

Yes, exactly. It’s a regatta.
I understand what you mean, but we need the boat info for all participiants for when planning seating at dinners etc. And what happens if part of the crew registers later either together or individually?

Hi,
In that case, you could also enable the boat question group for the additional attendees and then it will be requested for all guests.
