Hey Guys,

This is a follow up on this thread Auto Create Usernames a few weeks ago.

What would it take to augment the code so that it would

a.) also create some kind of unique identifier that would tie the main registrant and all attendees together in their accounts, forever after . .

b.) and even better, have that unique identifier come from an EE custom question – namely one we have created for “Company Name”

For reference you may want to walk through our registration

The bottom line, we are trying to figure out a way to allow for registrants to be grouped/identified by their company (about 90% of our registrants) so the info can be synced, sorted with our CRM (SageACT).

This same idea was also related to this thread organization name in db which appears to be a dead-end.

Perhaps also for reference, this article on Paid Membership Pro highlights a plugin that sets up a very similar user structure possibility using a coupon code to make the company/employee association. It doesn’t appear this is what we would be able to use as it would at best require users to follow numerous additional steps to register and get their information the way we want. But, it does highlight at the least structure of what we want to create, or something close.

Again, to clarify, ideally it would look something like this

main registrant: Manager-x Company-X
attendee 1: employee-x Company-X
attendee 2: employee-y Company-X
attendee 3: employee-z Company-X
etc.

When Manger-x Company-x comes back later to register more employees, same thing;

main registrant: Manager-x Company-X
attendee 1: employee-b Company-X
attendee 2: employee-c Company-X
attendee 3: employee-d Company-X
etc.

Any help, ideas, inspirations appreciated!

Hi Tim,

We provide sample code where possible but we can’t help you write custom code. Please get in touch with a Event Espresso professional here:
