Group Registration for "up to" a certain number of registrants

Hi,
Is there any way to create an event ticket which is good for “up to” a certain number of registrants?

My use case is a remote training which is sold for a cohort of up to 6 team members.

They would purchase 1 “ticket” for $2799 and this would allow for up to 6 team members.

During checkout, I want the ability for the purchaser to add up to 6 registrants. They might have 3 or 4, but they can have up to 6.

Is this possible? If not, how could I accomplish the same thing but in a way that would work in EE4?

I can’t sell individual tickets, because the training is being marketed as for a group of up to 6 with a price of $2799.

Thank you!
Lisa

Hi Lisa,

We don’t currently have an ‘up to X registrants’ option, the closest we have to this is Ticket Bundles:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/create-ticket-bundle/

Essentially you create a ticket that has a min and max qty of 6, fo a user can only select 6 of none. You set the price of the ticket per ticket (so 2799/6 = 466.50 per ticket).

That create 6 registrations in a group and the user can’t select less.

However, with that option you can either collect 1 person’s registrations details or all 6, there’s no option in between. Whilst not ideal, you could add some details to the Primary registrant section to use the same details for the additional ‘unneeded’ tickets.

Would that work for you?
