Grid View: Fatal Error due to timeout

I am getting a Fatal Error due to timeout when using the Grid View for my events. I realize I can have my host raise the wait time, but I only have 274 events. Should it really take that long to pull or should I be concerned that something is not right?

Hi,

May I ask is the hosting from a shared hosting plan? If so, 274 events in one request is likely going to exceed the limits of that server. What you can do instead is use the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode which has paging and can limit the number of events per page/request. For example, this:
[ESPRESSO_EVENTS limit=30]
will display 30 events per page, and include pagination links at the end of the list. Then they can click the pagination links to load the next 30 events.
