Hello!

I just upgraded to a business account after testing out the lite version – right away I noticed that there was an issue on the wordpress sidebar because there was a ‘?’ where the Event Espresso icon used to be – same for all graphics used within the plugin setting pages, all the images are broken links / missing.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!

Hi Michael,

Have you deactivated and removed the lite version? Also try clearing your browser cache.

Deactivated + Deleted the lite version before installing the download directly from the top of my profile page. Did a full reset of Safari, and checked on Firefox too, they both have the same problem of missing all graphical elements. This seems to carry over to all images, the paypal button will no longer show up either.

I’m also having issues with the ticket buying system since upgrading, hoping it’s all just one big fix.

When you click ‘Add To Cart’ now it just doesn’t do anything. Only way I can get it to initiate successfully is by having the signup form activated, and going through that process. What we are looking for is essentially just a ‘buy tickets’ button, with a drop down beside it for selecting multiple tickets. then simply have the buy button kick over to the shopping cart for collecting standard contact / payment info.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Michael,

It looks like your file/folder permissions are set wrong, if you have a look at this, the browser cant get access to certain files as the server said its forbidden (normally wrong permissions)

http://d.pr/i/6mCQ

As per WordPress folders should have permissions of 750or 755 and files 640 or 644

Is there a reason why is would only be affecting things after upgrading? I’ve never changed file/folder permissions before, not really sure what to do exactly. I do have FTP access using Cyberduck.

I’m not sure why, I have seen it happen on other servers, where the hosting provider has changed something and when the user adds another plugin it causes problems.

Feel free to send me the FTP login details and I’ll have a look.

send them via https://eventespresso.com/contact/

Choose the “I am sending login info as requested” option and fill out the form

Hi,

Event Espresso core plugin
Event Espresso ticketing add on
Event Espresso permissions add on

All of these had the wrong setting attached to the (700 for both files and folders) I have reset them all to follow the rest of your files/folders (644/755 respectively)

That should sort it for you. Please test.

It does look like it’s working now. Thanks so much Dean, I would’ve never figured that one out!

All The Best,
Michael

No Problem. Just keep an eye on it when you install new plugins/themes, if you use a program like FileZilla it will show you the file permissions of every file/folder.

Will do indeed!
