EE4.7.1 installation.
When you float your mouse over the red pin on the Google Map on the Event page, the arrow changes to the pointer so it appears to be a link. The expected behavior is to get an information bubble with address and links to directions. Should this be working? You can see this map here:http://shyamdasfoundation.com/events/2015-annual-retreat/

Hi, I think the problem is that Google Maps does not have existing information on the venue so no information is being shown when it is clicked. You can double-check this by clicking on other other locations in the area and here is an example:

This looks like the correct service for notifying Google about the location:

This may also work:

It does appear on Google Maps when you do a search here:https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ananda+Ashram/@41.2950191,-74.1632006,15z/data=!4m6!1m3!3m2!1s0x0:0x6fa367bd565ba564!2sAnanda+Ashram!3m1!1s0x0:0x6fa367bd565ba564

Not sure it needs to be added.

Hi,

Currently the mapping system uses Google Maps API, but not Google Places API (which displays the location information).

I’ll certainly add it as a feature request, though I cannot guarantee inclusion.
