We are using this plugin and a bunch of add-ons for it on one of our sites but no matter what I do, I can’t seem to fix the issue with the maps not loading. It asks if I am the owner of the site instead of displaying the map. If I look at the developers console, it shows an error saying that there is No API key but that is not true because I added the API key where I was supposed to and I even made sure that Billing is enabled for the correct project and I went and enabled every single Maps API available & updated the API key in the plugin again but nothing works. This must be an issue with the Event Expresso Plugin. I disabled the maps on the events for now, so it will just show the address instead of the map with the error. I also updated to the most recent version of Event Expresso.
Can you please help me figure out what the issue is?

One thing we found when adding a Maps API key to our demo site (e.g. https://demoee.org/use-cases/events/monthly-networking-meetings/
) is it took about an hour from the time we added the key until the time the map began to display.

Hi,
In this case I can advise to either remove the script entirely or contact the theme author for support. As I mentioned earlier, the map displays as expected when previewing another theme.
It may also involve further edits to the theme beyond removing the extra maps scripts if the theme has other scripts that further modify the Event Espresso maps.
