Hi there, I’ve seen a couple of threads on this, but there seem to be lots of different ways and I’m a little confused. I’ve tried to add a goal in GA of a visit to http://www.mysite.co.uk/thank-you but GA says that this would not have resulted in any conversions this week, even though I’ve had 3 registrations for events this week. What is the current simplest way of implementing a goal of booking for an event (completed registration) in EE? Many thanks Daniel Kingsley |

Hi Daniel, Goals in Google Analytics needs two things: 1) A site-wide tracking script for Google Analytics 2) The URL slug set in the Goals destination A plugin like Google Analyticator or Yoast Google Analytics can help you setup site-wide tracking. On two, you would enter only the slug (e.g. thank-you) in the Goals destination URL. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RnPqZRbs3M8&feature=youtu.be&t=270 — |

Hi Lorenzo, I already have a Google Analytics plugin in my wordpress site, so that’s no problem. I’ve successfully set up goal tracking for other destinations in GA, but of course this is the most important one as it’s the purchase. I was able to set up a goal with just the slug /thank-you in the destination, but when I seek to verify the goal it is saying that this would have resulted in zero conversions in the last week. Given that I’ve sold 4 tickets this week via EE this cannot be correct. I notice that when I complete a test transaction the thank you page comes up as: http://presencetraining.co.uk/thank-you/?e_reg_url_link=1-ec408f3eb4f1442208fc70ea0534b126 I did try specifying the goal as “starts with” /thank-you or “starts with” thank-you But both of these also come up with zero conversions over the past week. Any suggestions? Many thanks Daniel |

I’ve just discovered that my developer switched off my GA plugin a week ago so there’s been no GA data coming from my website in the past 7 days! I shall retest and come back to you if this doesn’t work. |

This is working now. Thank you! It would seem that using “starts with” and “/thank-you” was sufficient to trigger this goal. |
