I’m pretty amazed that the registration reporting function is so under-developed. There should be tick boxes to allow you to select what columns of information you do or don’t want to be exported. You should also be allowed to export strictly by a single event type, ticket type, or multiples thereof.

My client is overwhelmed with the number of columns of senseless information that she has to go through and delete, EVERY TIME she downloads a new report.

Then, she wants to be able to download just attendee registrations or exhibit booth customers or sponsorships, without having to do a bunch of manual excel functions to get it where she wants every day she runs a new report.

There’s my two cents. Take that and STICK IT IN YOUR BANK!

Ha, jk =)

Hi there,

Advanced reporting is something we are have discussed previously and have a feature request on our roadmap here:

https://trello.com/c/59CBe7aj/117-advanced-reporting-add-on

Please feel free to add your vote/comments to that feature request as it helps us determine the next feature to work on.

My client is overwhelmed with the number of columns of senseless information that she has to go through and delete, EVERY TIME she downloads a new report.

Did you know there’s a filter you can use to do that for them?

Take a look here:

https://github.com/eventespresso/ee-code-snippet-library/blob/master/admin/registration_report_limit_columns_shown.php

and here:

https://github.com/eventespresso/ee-code-snippet-library/blob/master/admin/tw_registration_report_exclude_fields.php

For a couple of examples on how to filter the output (One function only leaves the ‘blessed’ columns within the CSV, the other excludes columns and leaves all others, so it depends on what you want to do).

Then, she wants to be able to download just attendee registrations or exhibit booth customers or sponsorships, without having to do a bunch of manual excel functions to get it where she wants every day she runs a new report.

Currently the only way to do that is to use the Excel functions or build out your own reporting, this could be considered for the advanced reporting add-on.

Thanks, I will try that solution. I’m sure that would be good enough! Thank you, and yes, I’m pretty confident some of those features, if not all of them, should be considered for your advanced reporting add-on. Thank you for addressing my concern so quickly!
