Good Option for Tennis Camps/Clinics?

Hello – I have a client that runs tennis camps and clinics and wants to implement online registration on his site. He has various camp offerings by grade/age – preschool, middle school, high school etc… each of these programs has multiple offerings based on date and time (mon, wed, sat or tues & thursday). He wants parents to sign up their kids online, process payment and restrict number of kids per camp. He also wants the counselors to be able to sign in on the backend and print out a class roster so they can know how many and which kids are enrolled in each camp. Also the counselors might have to manually sign up kids or enter a kid in multiple camps so there needs to be some flexibility and management on the backend. Does this plugin sound like a good fit for our needs? Thanks!

Hi Matt,

Yes I believe Event Espresso would be a good fit for your needs.

You can take EE4 for a test drive to be sure (for free) over at http://demoee.org

If you have any specific questions, feel free to come back and ask.

Hi Dean – more specifically I need some flexibility in the registration functionality. For example – I have tennis programs offered M-Sat at various times (1-3pm and 4-6pm). I want to cap each time to a maximum of 20 kids. Each program consists of 2 weekly classes so when families register they should be able to choose M and W or Tues and Thurs or Wed and Friday for example and when those times hit their maximum cap of 20 then they should be greyed out and no longer available. Can event espresso handle this level of flexibility?

Thanks

Hi,

This is what I would do in EE4:

Create an event for the Week 3rd Aug – 9th Aug

In this event create 5 date times (Mon-Fri) and set the limit for each to be 20

Then create 3 tickets:

Ticket one is labelled Mon and Wed and is attached to those two datetimes.
Ticket two is labelled Tue and Thu and is attached to those two datetimes.
Ticket three is labelled Wed and Fri and is attached to those two datetimes.

The tickets are left without limits.

Now, if 20 of the Mon/Wed tickets sell OR 20 of the Wed/Fri OR 10 of both sell, those two tickets will go off sale as the Wednesday datetime is full booked.

The Tues/Thur ticket will still remain open as it is not attached to the same datetimes.

Does that make sense?

It can be a little confusing at first, but the way that dates and tickets are separate and have separate limits can provide a large amount of flexibility.

I would still suggest giving EE4 a test drive so you can get a feel for how it works.
