Looking at Event Espresso, and trying to implement it for a spring golf tournament I have run into some obstacles. For instance, when someone buys a foursome, I have also set it to collect the additional personal information so it asks who the other players are.
It automatically sets it to where it will ask for their name and email.
Here is the problem, most of the people who are buying foursomes for our tournament have no idea who will be playing with them. It will not allow the person to continue to register because they will not have their information.
What is the best way to handle this?
My thoughts are make it only require the primary persons information and then when we find out the other golfer’s info we would just manually change it to reflect the new golfers.
Is there a more efficient way to do this?
You can turn off asking for the names for the additional attendees by editing your event and unchecking the questions for the additional attendees. Then, you can later break out the registrations into individual people using the Create Contact button on the registration record:
Or you can let people just use their names as a place holder for the additional names and change one registration to another by using that button ^.
