Hi there, may seem like a silly question, but for safety I will ask anyway.
I am working on my newsite in a foler within my root folder (where my old site is) When I move my information from my subfolder and go live with the site will this have any effect on Events Espresso plugin working…will I have to re-configure?

Hi Rachel,

When you move any WordPress installation from a subfolder to a root level folder this needs to be done with care. This is the case whether Event Espresso is installed or not.

There are techniques that involve not moving the WP installation where you actually leave it in its own directory:

http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory#Using_a_pre-existing_subdirectory_install

If you decide to move all the files, then the database will need to be updated so the file paths and URL’s point to the new location, and I recommend using the WP migrate DB plugin to help with that.
