I had to move TJHiker.com to Godaddy cPanel hosting because they would not turn off the mandatory caching that comes with the Managed WP hosting, even after I directed them to the post regarding this topic. They told me the post was incorrect, even though it was only 3 weeks old.
This took about 6 hours on hold with different tech support people and several hours of attempts using ManageWP to clone and move the site, plus having to purchase different hosting packages, process refunds and so on. This was a nightmare. All because of the caching issue. The entire business is dependent upon this.
Now I have ZenCache enabled with the EE pages excluded. I hope for smooth sailing from here on.
I’m sorry to hear this Monika. We’re still in communication with Godaddy support about this issue and we’re interested in making sure their support staff is up to speed on how to disable the caching.
With your Zencache plugin you’ll also want to be sure to exclude from caching any pages that parse shortcodes like the Event Espresso ticket selector shortcode.
