A friend has asked me to set up a website for them using either GoDaddy or Webstarts. They would like to accept money through their basic PayPal acct. Will Event Espresso work well with these WYSIWYG as well as a basic paypal acct? Have you had other customers use them? Thank you

Hi Irene,

Event Espresso is a WordPress plugin, which means you need a self-hosted WordPress installation in order to use it. It’s not compatible with any other web site building software like what Godaddy or Webstarts offers.

Please see our requirements page for more details:

Thank you very much,Josh. Appreciate your quick response. I will look into WordPress for them. So one more question. They say they prefer to use PayPal rather than set up a merchant acct. Do you have reccommendations in this area? Can they use a basic paypal acct?

Hi Irene,

Paypal is one of the payment methods we support. They will need a verified standard or business account to use PayPal with Event Espresso. Personal accounts will not work though.
