Hello. I’d like to be able to offer gift certificate for a specific amount to take off of an event registration. I’m trying to use the social coupon add-on and an e-commerce solution to do this but right now it only allows for 100% discount and my events vary in price.
Here’s what I’d like to do, is this possible?
1) purchase a gift for a specific amount to use towards event
2) have the option to send as a gift certificate by email or downloadable PDF to print
3) user registers for event through EE calendar and enters this gift code during checkout, amount is deducted from balance
4) coupon is then marked as used
Will this ever be a feature in EE? Thanks!

Hi,
This would require a new plugin built, or perhaps the ticketing/social codes (groupon) add ons being modified.
There isn’t a road map for adding this functionality, but it is becoming obvious our users are keen on this sort of functionality so I will certainly add your vote to the count. I cannot see us even looking at this until 4.0 perhaps 4.1 is out and stable.
