• WORDPRESS VERSION: 3.8.4 I am ready to update this site. I will first be updating my WordPress to 3.9.2 and then installing the EE updates. I received an email from Event Espresso that outlines what to do (and in what order, though it seems to apply to EE4?), but I am confused by the items near top of screen when I log in to *my* EE account… There are blue and green bars with what appears to be plugin names for EE 3 and 4, respectively. When I scroll down I see that my license level is: EE3 Business License… First Question: Second question: Any clear and direct info for my specific situation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |
Hello, You are running an old version of Event Espresso 3 so you’ll want to update to the current version of Event Espresso 3: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/change-log/ Note: The steps below will backup your WordPress database and relocate your old version of Event Espresso to a safer location. Begin by backing up your WordPress: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups Download the latest version of your Event Espresso software from your account: https://eventespresso.com/users/brewscruise1/ Now login to your WordPress admin and go to Plugins. Locate Event Espresso in the list of plugins and deactivate it. Next login to your WordPress root with an SFTP or FTP client (FileZilla and Cyberduck are free options). Then browse to the WordPress plugins folder: wp-content/plugins Locate the Event Espresso folder and relocate it one level above the WordPress plugins folder and add old to the end of the folder name: wp-content/event-espresso-old Return to the Plugins screen in the WordPress admin and click on Add New –> Upload. Then browse to the zip file that you downloaded from your account. Select it and begin the upload process. You can activate Event Espresso after it has finished. — |
