I read support forum about moving to a new website that is a sub folder of the primary domain however it is a fresh separate WP installation. I need to make sure new one is running before uninstalling old site. The recommendation on the forum was to install plugin and not put license in until ready to uninstall information on old website. When I try to install the Core plugin I get Unpacking the package…

Installing the plugin…

Destination folder already exists. /*/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/

Plugin installation failed.

My question. Can you please tell me how to move this to the new website.
Thank you
Trudy

Hi Trudy,

It sounds like there’s a partial installation of Event Espresso 4 that will need to be deleted first, they you can install the plugin. You can use either sFTP or your site’s cpanel file manager to go in to wp-content/plugins and delete the /event-espresso-core-reg/. After you do that, then you install the plugin.
