Hi,
I’m building my own theme in Elementor.
Everything is working fine with event espresso. But its not always displaying the event status next to the title.
Can i get the title from a html code i can paste in there that will include it? Or maybe a custom key i can enter?

If anyone has any experience i would greatly appreciate it.

Dennis

Hi Dennis,

Not with HTML code no, the status banner is injected on the fly into the_title() call.

You’ve mentioned above it is not always displaying the status, can you link me to working and non-working output so I can take a look?

Officially Event Espresso does not support page builders so this may not be something we can fix but I’m more than happy to take a look and see.

Hi Tony,
Im very happy that your willing to take a look. Because Elementor said the same thing 😉
So your making a long term user very happy!

On this page it works fine: https://www.mooianders.info/categorie-evenement/workshops/

This is a new lay out I’m building and not working https://www.mooianders.info/?page_id=28133

When i can get info from a specific event by using this getting info from custom fields. https://photos.app.goo.gl/mWeWJrhfhFFLjnU78

I did read a lot on the forum and documentation about the_title() But could not combine the info into a solution.

Thanks in advance

Ok, so thats using a loop to output the events and will be calling the_title() to do so which is why it works.

I can’t view that page, has it been published?

Sorry, I don’t understand what this is for?

So basically on a page where you are using Elementor to generate your own single event output you can’t see the event status?

it seems i cant reply on the previous topic so here a new one with my reply:

Thanks for getting back to me.

On a single event it does work perfectly and i made the theme in the same way https://www.mooianders.info/workshops/workshop-bloemschik-basics-4/

I can’t view that page, has it been published?

Seems i’ve made a mistake, it should work now. https://www.mooianders.info/workshops-vervanging/
in this last example you might see better what I’m trying to do.

Sorry, I don’t understand what this is for?

I guess i cant retrieve it as metadata…?

Ok, so how have you built that output?

No, the event status is not saved as metadata, it’s a post_status and as simple as it may sound there’s actually a fair bit to it in this case.
