When people register for something they get a mail sent automaticly. Thats great. But i have a bunch of parameters like venues, dates and other varible codes, and a lot can go wrong.. I really dont feel comfortable about sending this mails and not knowing what the mail say…
is it possible to see this email sent to the customer somewhere? Or get it sent as BCC to admin or something?
Your best bet is to use a service like PostMark or Mandrill. They will handle all your outgoing email and you will have a copy and a log of every email sent. Postmark is free for the first 10,000 emails and Mandrill is free for the first 12,000 per month.
Your second best bet is to use an SMTP plugin linked to a gmail account. You should have a copy in your sent mail folder.
Thanks! Postmark was a good tips. I have installed that now, and it looks like its not only working, but given me a better and more secure way of sending mail. Very nice tips 🙂
