Currently our Event Expresso allows for us to email each individual event attendee with an invoice auto-generated by Event Expresso. It would be great with we could also generate a receipt – this would look exactly like the current auto-generated invoice, with a few minor changes. I assume some extra work would need to be done to add this functionality?
From what I understand of the system, it would be difficult for us to use the payment gateway to generate a receipt – it is currently set to auto generate an invoice document and we would have to modify the settings first and then put a registration through (?) to generate the receipt document. Also, even if we did take this course, we would be unable to make all the changes we need which are to change “Tax Invoice” to “Receipt”, add an amount that has been paid and adjust the total owing to zero.
(btw we recently had some work done by the EE team to modify the invoice to include a tax (GST) calculation to the invoice).
Adding the [invoice-link] would also just provide the invoice – the receipt would need to be a separate, different document.
What would be ideal is if we could, at the press of a button, generate a document separate to the invoice (which would be a receipt) for each attendee – is the EE team able to add this fuctionality, or does it exist in an updated version?
