Hi, I moved my site from the development server http://sc3.solusio.com to the production server http://www.nathal-sarti.de

I manually performed the move, i.e. backed up files and DB and uploaded to the PROD server and imported the DB-SQL file via phpMySQL. So files/folders as well as the MySQL database has been correctly moved.

But now on the PROD server the “General Settings” are empty.

Can you assist in helping me to find out what went wrong here?

HI Thomas,

I won’t be able to help you directly, a more experienced tech will but I think they’d like to get a little more info about how you did your initial DB backup. Did you use a plugin, or phpmyadmin, or something else?

Hi Garth,

I gladly provide all information needed by your tech team, as I really would like to understand what went wrong.

The Test-setup runs MySQL v5.5.28
I was using phpMyAdmin v2.11.11.3 to make the backup of the Test-setup, see screnshot of export settings below.
I am running EE v3.1.30.7P, further details below.

Thanks, Thomas

Hi there,

I can’t tell from your screenshot, was the wp_options table copied over? That’s where the general settings are saved. Specifically, they are stored under the option name: events_organization_settings.

One other tip I would add: When you move the site, the settings that store file path info/URLs need to be updated to use the new file paths and URLs.
