Functionality Questions for EE4

Have a number of questions about certain functionality of EE4 this critical to our project.

1. Ability to create events that can be hidden from the calendar/list that can only be accessed through a link WITHOUT having to log in?

2. Waitlists? Only in EE3

3. Basic search/filter function for event dates/locations

4. Can Promotion/Discount code apply to each registrant instead of total. For instance a $10 off coupon applies to each registrant, say 3, so total discount is $30.

Hi there,

1. Ability to create events that can be hidden from the calendar/list that can only be accessed through a link WITHOUT having to log in?

This is not something we have built into EE current, so this is not possible without custom development.

2. Waitlists? Only in EE3

We currently have an EE4 Waitlist add-on available for beta testing:

This depends on what you consider basic and do you mean front or admin?

Can you provide more details on what you are looking for?

4. Can Promotion/Discount code apply to each registrant instead of total. For instance a $10 off coupon applies to each registrant, say 3, so total discount is $30.

Not currently, promotions can be applied per event but not per ticket (registration). So you could have Event A and Event B in the cart and apply a promotion that applies only to Event A (a fixed amount or percentage discount) but you can’t apply a promotion that applies to tickets within that event.

So a $10 discount on Event A provides a fixed $10 discount regardless of the qty of tickets.

We do have planes to add this functionality to the promotions add-on in the future, its on our road-map here:

On item 3, we would like the front end user to have the ability to choose locations and dates from a drop down, like what is done here https://teslathemes.com/live/?item=e-event

The closest we have to that kind of functionality would be the Event Table Template:

Or the grid view template:

https://eventespresso.com/product/eea-events-grid-view-template/

The table view allow yous to search for a venue and also filter by category.
