Hello,
How coudl I add some of the backend funcionality to the frontend?

Any standarized way to do it? Could I copy the code of the admin dashboard? Any functions to use? I am using the create template addon to add new templates but I need to add more funcionality which is only on backend.

Please some help here,

Thanks,

Dean

Hi,

Generally you can’t at least not without doing some major revisions to the code.

The are two exceptions to this:

The My Events section (via the WP User Integration plugin) which has it’s own shortcode from front end use.

The Front End Manager addon also allows basic event creation from the front end, via a shortcode.

Thanks for your reply Dean, I got the list of the events which the manager owns importing and touchimg a bit the code as you say, my question is if there is some technical recommendation or resource which could help me, lets say for example editing the description of my own event (always creating customized templates with the plugin).

Until now this is being a bit rough for me, any help appreciate.

Thanks

Josh

Hi Shashnk,

I may not quite understand what type of resources you’re looking for, but the WordPress Codex is a great place to start. Also, we have a repository of Event Espresso-specific documentation:
