Hello, I have installed a fresh version of wordpress with twenty eleven theme.

After FTP’ing EEE and activating, I am given a blank EEE settings page with exception of:

General Settings

New @ Event Espresso
From the Blog

I am running LAMP with mysql 5.+ and php 5.3+

I have installed your requirements plugin and it passed with warnings… well it said there were warnings but gave me none other than warnings exist.

it said there were warnings but gave me none other than warnings exist.

What do you mean it said there were warnings but didn’t give you any? Did you look at the requirements check page?

What version of WordPress are you running?

I mean exactly what I said.

> Passed with warnings. Your server supports the minimum requirements but may experience some difficulties with all features. See the Event Espresso Requirements page for more information. Get your copy of Event Espresso here.

Yes, did you read my set up? Already told you what php, what mysql.

The “fresh version of wordpress” would be 3.4.1

Do you have any other plugins installed (probably not but just checking) so that if you are we can try to replicate this too.

No, I have uploaded the other EEE plugins, but only activated the main plugin. Altered WordPress settings for permalinks, title, tagline etc.

Anyway I can find out what errors were found with requirement plugin?

I just removed the install, wordpress, and uploaded wordpress .zip and extracted and installed.

I then ftp’d EEE .zip and extracted and activated. All pages of EEE are blank, except the events page

The install is on a subfolder, does this effect it? Currently in a ev folder and will move to root after setup and approved.

This error is under the Event Espresso News

The list of warnings/recommendations from the Event Espresso requirements plugin can be viewed by selecting the menu item under the WordPress>Tools menu.

See this section in the troubleshooting guide for more information about increasing the amount of allocated memory: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-event-espresso/#wsod

I had already put a request to the webhost to raise the memory limit, just curious as to why a clean install requires more than 32mb to view settings.

With exception of mysql 5.0x being less than 5.5, uploads limited to 2mb and the above, it should run. Will await the webhosts email.

Note: requirements check under tools has slight layout issue at the Apache check. Description runs into previous description causing both to be unreadable.

I’ve not seen it before where a clean install requires 32mb, but servers can be configured differently. Event Espresso may require more memory than your average WP plugin as well.
