Dear All,

I would like to connect a forum to who registers to a certain event but I have seen there isn’t a espresso plugin for that yet.

Maybe a way to have it could be through WP User Integration addons.

Do you have any suggestions?

Any helps will be appreciate,

Thanks,
Simone

Hi there,

It depends how you are granting access to the ‘forum’ when the user has registered.

The EE4 User Integration add-on can be used to create a user based on the registration details and also allows you to set a role that will be used when the user is created:

https://eventespresso.com/product/eea-wp-user-integration/#create-new

So if you granting access using a role/capabilities on a specific role you can use that for NEW users.

For existing users you will need to add some custom code to add a capability to the users account (or set them to a specific role) when they register onto the event.

Thank you.

I supposed that didn’t force auto creation during registration would be a problem for our intention. I have to manually create them o force them to register.

Many thank for explanation,
Regards,
Simone
