I wonder if you have any progress on this issue now.

I also want to create users on registration of some events so that they can access content relevant to their course. However not all customers use it and some are getting frustrated at having to login to register for another event if they cant remember their password.

Is there a way around this without having to create a bespoke plugin?

How do you create account for your customer? is it when they buy ticket? If you have different approach, then you can turn off the setting in your event.

And just that turn that to yes for some events that you need.

let us know if that’s what you need.

thanks

Yes I create an account when they buy a ticket. I have set the events up with Yes to create an account where I want people to have the option to view course content for that event. However if the people who have signed up to those events now want to register for another event that doesn’t need an account they have to login to do so even though I have set Force Login for Registered Users to No.

Is there a way to integrate with membership plugins like s2member maybe that is the solution?

This is an extra hurdle for some people wanting to quickly register and we are losing sales.

The WP User Integration Add-on will help you with tickets for members of your website. Combined with the WordPress and Event Espresso capabilities system you can require that people are logged-in to your website before they can purchase tickets and restrict certain types of tickets to those who have the right custom capabilities/privileges.

The WP User Integration will allow you to configure whether people are forced to login or not for each event. There is a setting for this with each event.

With our WP user integration add-on, you’ll be able to setup member pricing and also offer public pricing. It works by integrating with a membership plugin like Paid memberships pro or another plugin.

Here is an example of how it works with S2member: http://ee-screenshots.s3.amazonaws.com/ee4/ee4-s2member-roles-tickets.jpeg

You set a capability for a pricing option and then a member that has access will be able to register for those pricing options.

Does that help?
