Hey guys, I’m working on a site for a client, and here’s the situation.

We have a swimming class. This class has 4 spaces for students, and meets every Tuesday. There are 12 classes, one per week for 12 weeks. We have set up the multi-event registration so our members can sign up for all 12 classes at once. This is all setup and works fine, we do this through the “add to cart” shortcode you guys provided, and it’s awesome.

The problem is with the calendar display. What we do NOT want is for a member to be able to sign up for just one swimming class until our registration period for all the classes is over.

We want it to look like this:

Registration Starts > Members can only register for all 12 classes at once, and if they view the calendar, individual classes are not displayed there OR they are displayed but members can’t register for single classes (whichever way is easier).

THEN

Registration period ends > Classes are available for registration on the calendar as members cancel or new spots are available.

Is this possible?
Thanks!

Hi Mike,

How are you today?

I would recommend that your attendees register for one event, say at the beginning of a series then: 1) create each event and use the Recurring Events Manager (recommended method) to schedule the subsequent occurrence of the events, 2) then in the subsequent events in the series you can use the Alternate Registration Page (http://www.screencast.com/t/JZTyjAZQ3W6M) field to point the event details pages of the subsequent events to the registration page for the first event. That will allow you to display all the other events on your calendar, but control the price, attendee records and registration limits by the settings of the first event. Does that make sense? Then you can also have one-off events too. Then, after the full registration period is over you can remove the alternate registration page url from the subsequent events so they don’t point back to the main event.

Does that make sense?
