Hello,

Please see this picture:
registration layout picture

I would like to know how I can adjust the layout of this page. There are several things I would like to fix (I use it for a Dutch website).

  1. Text adjustments:
    a) “Adres” should be “Adres:”
    b) Remove “Tweet” and “Like” buttons here
    c) Make “Datum” also bold
    d) Enter space between “Start tijd:” and the time (e.g. 08:00)
    e) Change “Eind tijd” into “Eind tijd:”
    f) Change “Prijs” into “Prijs:”
    g) Put an extra line before “Aanmeldingdetails” to separate it more
    h) Change “Aanmeldingdetails” into “Aanmeldingsdetails”.
  2. Language adjustments
    a) Change all the language starting from “Personal Information” to Dutch?

Thanks a lot for your help and advice. At the moment, I find this page looks rather messy, so I am trying to tidy it up, as well as see how I can help to improve the Dutch in this page.

Hello,

Most of what you are asking can be done by editing the Dutch language file using Poedit.

The Dutch translations are 85% complete, and we are always looking for translators and validators.

Removing the tweet and like buttons: These are added by the Social add on, so deactivating that will remove them. If you are only wanting remove the facedbook and twitter and leave google plus you will need to use CSS to select and hide them.

Regarding 1 c) you would need to use CSS here, you can target the class .span_event_date_label

1 g) again a CSS edit would work here, a margin-top on the ID #event-reg-form-groups

Regarding 2 a) this cannot be done by the language files. If you go to your question groups menu and edit the Personal Information and Address information question groups you can amend their names to Dutch variants.

Thanks for your help. It already looks much better now. Regarding 1g) can you tell me which css file I should look for to adjust this line break?

One other small question. I found that the QR code on the admission ticket is outside the borders. I suspect the logo I use for my customer’s company made the QR code shift to outside the form. Is that the reason?

Hi,

The css will be in event-espresso/templates/css/espresso_default.css, however, it is advisable to use your themes style.css or a css plugin to overrule it rather than changing a plugin file.

QR Code: without seeing it it is hard to say, but it is possible that the image sized has skewed the borders.
