My client called to obtain E4 ID information to set up the FirstData payment gateway and was told by FirstData that they do not support the EventEspresso system. I have to assume others are successfully using the gateway successfully. Is the ID information needed available with the FirstData account online?

Hi,

Event Espresso 4 does not currently support the FirstData payment gateway natively. However, it is supported through Mijireh which works as a payment gateway connector.

They also handle securing your checkout page. Here is a brief video that explains how Mijireh works:

We also have documentation available on creating a new payment gateway for Event Espresso 4:

http://developer.eventespresso.com/docs/ee4-payment-method-development/

You’ll want to let FirstData know that you are wanting to accept ecommerce payments in your online store.

We are current on EE3. There are two options in the payment settings for FirstData configuration. Will FirstData integration work with either method? Our expectation from up-front research is that FirstData is supported. If this is not the case I need to know so we can approach a different solution for our client.

Hi there,

It turns out there are two FirstData integrations available for Event Espresso 3.

One is the First Data E4 (recently renamed to be Payeezy), the other is LinkPoint.

You’ll find general documentation for Payeezy (aka FirstData E4) here:

https://support.payeezy.com/hc/en-us?community_id=public

I found this article to be the most helpful one:

https://support.payeezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/204685325-Hosted-Payment-Page-Quick-Reference-Guide

You should be able to get the Payment Page ID and Transaction keys from your Payeezy (aka FirstData E4) account and plug those into the Event Espresso 3 FirstData E4 settings box. You’ll also copy the Relay Response value from the yellow box when you set up the Relay response in the gateway account.
