Hi all, I did the pem file step, configured the settings and set things up to debugging mode. Now, it looks like for the most part it all works, but the output says var_dump of result: Result of executing curl transfer: couldn’t connect to host What am I doing wrong? Thanks! |

This is what I get when I submit in the thank you page: Class/Event: Corn Belt Seed Conference Primary Registrant: Marianella Moreno Payment Type: First Data Payment Date: November 5, 2012 Amount Paid/Owed: $1.00 Payment Status: Incomplete Registration ID: 2-50981a803e035 Transaction ID: < |
Hi Quincy, Did you check whether PHP is compiled with the cURL module? The Event Espresso requirements plugin runs an automated test that checks for cURL. You can download it from the requirements page: |

It does have cURL. Just ran the test. I have a few other warnings, would these affect this functionality? |

Hi there, Can you verify which type of FirstData account that they set you up with? Event Espresso supports these three types: The older-style on-site First Data, First Data connect 2 (off-site). and the newer First Data E4. |
This is a new account with the API functionality that was setup last week. I would assume is the newer E4? |
It says global gateway virtual terminal. |
That sounds like the older one, but let’s try to double check. When you log into your account, is it at one of these URLs? |

I log onto with this link: |
this one also works: |
That’s the older First Data gateway. You can switch the gateway’s debugging settings in Event Espresso>Payment settings and it will give you more verbose error output when you go through a test payment. It may be a case where the Pem file’s permissions are not allowing it to be read. You could try changing them to 777 temporarily to see if that makes a difference. |
Hello, I set the permissions to 777 and after running the transaction, the more verbose error says: Result of executing curl transfer: couldn’t connect to host var_dump of order data: The rest is the output of all the form information. Thanks! |
If anyone else is experiencing this issue, please check with your host and verify that the server is not blocking the outbound 1129 port. FirstData uses that port to communicate with your site. |
