First Data connection failure

Hello,

We’re using the First Data gateway and it’s been fine for quite a while, but today we’re seeing:

Status: FAILURE
Error: Could not connect.

When trying to pay with a credit card.

Event Espresso version: 3.1.37.18.P
WordPress version: WP 5.7

Hi there,

Within the First Data payment method is an option to enable debugging on sandbox, enable that and retest a payment. You would see a bunch of debugging code output to the page, add that here in a private reply and then disable debugging on the payment method again.

I’ll take a look and see if anything stands out from there.

The debugging revealed a port issue with our web host and a failure connect. Our host opened the necessary port and this is now resolved. Thanks!
