Filters using Event Table View Template

I’m using the Events Table View Template Add-On in EE4 to structure our events, but we need users to be able to filter events by more than just ‘category’. Ideally, there would be two or three things users could filter by. Event category (which already works using the stock version of Event Table View Template), event type (which could be specified using tags?) and event location/venue. Is this something that can be accomplished using stock code or is this a bigger project? Is this something I could accomplish using a support token through EE or do I need a developer?

I’d like to add additional columns to the table as well. Tags, for example. I’d like tags to show up in a column in the table. Is this possible?

Are these things easier to accomplish if I downgrade to EE3? From the documentation that’s available on the Custom Template Add On for EE3, it looks like there might be more functionality there than in the Template add on for EE4. I’m very confused at this point based on the materials that are available. Please advise!

I there,

I think you’re on the right track to use tags for the event type. I can advise contacting one of the developers listed on this page for a quote on custom development:

Cosmik Carrot can usually pick up smaller scoped projects like this one.

Also since you asked about EE3, it would actually be more difficult to accomplish because EE3 didn’t have a good system for tagging events.
