Hi there I’m interested in using EventEspresso for a Arts festival website. They have a few specific requirements which I’d like advice on their feasibility. The Festival runs once a year for a couple of weeks and has in the region of 100 events at approx 10 different venues. The festival has a database of returning customers and a friends membership scheme which entitles them to a 10% discount. So my questions are: Can attendees be saved and recalled when purchasing a ticket? Can attendees details be imported from an access database? 10% discount for members. Ticket designs. Does EventEspresso integrate with a ticket printer? Sorry about all the questions! Thanks Wesley |
Hi Wesley, No problem, these are great questions. I’ll follow up with each of them below:
We have an add-on (wp-user integration) that hooks into the WordPress user table where you can store attendee details like name, email, and address. The way that it is designed to work is each attendee has a user account and when they log in their details pre-populate the registration form. I’m not sure how well this would work in the context of using this as a box office solution since it’s designed to work with individual user accounts.
There isn’t an access importer. We do have a .csv attendee importer, but I think what you’re looking for is a way to import your attendees as members, which would probably involve some custom development to get each of the details into the WordPress usermeta table.
We have promo code discounts that can be set to discount tickets 10% where you’d give only the members the promo codes. Or if you have our WP user integration add-on, you can set Member prices. The member prices will be available to those who are logged in to the site while purchasing.
Yes, the tickets are markup up with HTML and CSS, and you can set up multiple ticket templates.
Our tickets are designed to be printed out by the user (individual ticket URL links get emailed to the attendee). However one time we did customize the ticket template so it would be narrow enough so a thermal receipt printer could print out the ticket. I’m not sure how well that worked out for them as the tickets have to be printed out individually (there isn’t a batch print feature). Hope this information helps! Please feel free to take a test drive and follow up with any additional questions you might have. https://eventespresso.com/pricing/test-drive-event-espresso/ |

Thanks for all the info Josh. I hope we will be able to get this project up and running on your plugin! Best regards Wes. |
