Featured Image Not Working with EE3

There seems to be a problem with trying to set a featured image with events. I have tried deactivating all other plugins except for EE3 and still not working. I am using Version 3.1.36.6.P

It also doesn’t matter if you try to upload a new image or use one out of the media library. Either way you get this broken image icon and if you save the event, the featured image is not stored.

See this screenshot: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4138085/ee3-featured-image-problem.jpg

I am able to assign a featured image to a regular blog post, just not events. Did something change?

Hi Greg,

Nope, nothing has changed. I’m also not seeing this issue on my test site.

Can you go to this url (change it accordingly) http://YourSiteName.Com/wp-admin/options.php

and then look for image_default_link_type. In the field next to that it should say file. If it doesn’t say file, add it in and click the update button at the bottom of the page.

If that does not work, please right click the broken image and inspect element (Chrome, Firefox) and see what the URL for the image is and let us know.

Thanks Dean, setting the option to “file” did the trick!
