Hi guys,
My featured image that i place within an event doesn’t show up anywhere… I have to manually embed an image in the event… Does the featured image need to be a certain size to work properly? Also, I have had it show an image on the calendar (hover) when i have the calendar set to not show images…

Hi JB,
The featured image should show a thumbnail on the calendar. You’ll need to have the latest version of the calendar installed. and set “Enable Images in Calendar” to yes in the Calendar settings. It will scale the image, but you may want to experiment with different sizes.

Hi Josh,
First off thanks again for your help!
It seems that the calendar wants to pull an image that i actually place within the event description as apposed to using the featured image that i place within the event itself. Any ideas?

It will display an image from the event description in a tooltip, and the featured image should display a thumbnail. Here’s an example from a test site that shows both: http://eetesting.info/3.1.josh/?page_id=9
Make sure you’ve set “Enable Images in Calendar” on the calendar setting page to yes.

Hello! I’m having the same problem. I try to upload the featured image, and it seems to accept something (though I don’t ever see a preview image) but when I go to view the calendar, there is no image. I have “Enable Images in Calendar” set to “yes” and I just downloaded the latest versions today.

After you upload the image, please be sure to click the “Insert into post” button, then update the event.

Yes. You could try deactivating all plugins besides the Event Espresso + calendar add-on. And temporarily switch to the twentyeleven theme to rule out any conflicts.

I deactivated everything, no difference.
Turns out, there was no Link URL assigned to the images I was trying to use. That made the difference. Works now!

Thanks to Christians suggestion I got the Featured Image to upload and be recognized.
But how do I get the Featured Image to show up on the Event Description page?
