Hi,
We find it utterly difficult and intricately to use the “Waiting List” function – not to mention what have been “sold” as easy 1-2-3 is that difficult and takes so much time to work with.
What is the point in first having to create an Event and then having to create a waiting list for the event – as another event!?! “To create a waiting list you need to create another event.” Why!?! Why can’t we just click a box saying “Apply Waiting List” and that’s it then? Why doesn’t Event Espresso have a build-in hidden waiting list for every event created?
This really have to be improved ASAP.

Thanks for taking the time to leave this valuable feedback.
To answer your question on why another event needs to be created, the wait list event may need to be different in some ways than the original event. For example, tickets for the event are charged for, but one wouldn’t necessarily charge for adding someone to a waitlist. One might charge a small amount to get on the list, and creating a separate event as a waitlist event would allow for this as well.
I’ve registered your suggestion and we will keep it in mind for future features and updates!
