The EE Grid plug-in currently displays the event name, date, and time as well as “Register Now!” when you mouse over an event. However, there are times when the event date is still upcoming, but registration is no longer available for it. We still want the event info to be available to those who have already registered. Can you add feature to make the “Register Now!” disappear when registration is expired for an event that is in the future? And also, make a way to change the text to something other than “Register Now!” on an event by event basis?

Hello Rachael,
You can change the text using a shortcode parameter, like this: [ESPRESSO_GRID_TEMPLATE button_text = "Register Right Now!"]
If you want more control than that, say changing the text for sold out or expired events, you can copy the file from /wp-content/plugins/eea-grid-template/templates/espresso-grid-template.template.php into your /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates/ directory and make the desired modifications.
