Fatal Error when activating upgrade

I upgraded from Lite to the Personal version and installed it. When I went to activate I got this message: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare espresso_version() (previously declared in /home/content/86/11836486/html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-free/espresso.php:35) in /home/content/86/11836486/html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/espresso.php on line 36

What does that mean, and how do I fix? Thanks.

Hi Mike,

What the message means is the lite/free plugin is still activated. You can fix it by deactivating the lite/free plugin before you activate the paid plugin.
