Hi! I’m running version 5.0.19.p and when I try to activate it all I get is a fatal error screen and this message on my error log:

PHP Fatal error: Uncaught RuntimeException: Event Espresso Level 2 Maintenance mode is active. That means EE can not run ANY database queries until the necessary migration scripts have run which will take EE out of maintenance mode level 2. Please inform support of this error. in /plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/db_models/EEM_Base.model.php:2426

I also get this warning message, but not sure if it is related:

PHP Warning: Use of undefined constant EE_MIGRATION_STEP_SIZE - assumed 'EE_MIGRATION_STEP_SIZE' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /wp-config.php on line 80

Can you help me out on how to figure this out?

Thanks!

Hello,

Can you give more information about it?

Can you tell me your prior version before updating? did you do manually upgrade of plugin? which mean, you downloaded the plugin and overwrite the current installed?

After having that issue, were you able to access your site? and all its settings? do you see any problem on your site?

Can you also share your WP and php version you’re using?

thanks

Hi Rio,
We purchased the update and updated the license then manually updated the plugin from the /wp-admin > Plugins page. Please advise.

Wordpress Version 6.5.3
php version 7.4

I am also seeing this in the error log:

PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Undefined constant “EE_MIGRATION_STEP_SIZE” in /home/onesocce/public_html/wp-config.php:80

We commmented out the EE_MIGRATION_STEP_SIZE line in wp-config and it’s now running php 8.0. Still no luck running the plugin.
