Hi,

I recently updated the Espresso Events and Calendar plugins and now the events registration page is showing this error;

Fatal error: Call to undefined function espresso_show_social_media() in /home/totalwsi/public_html/lets-reach.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates/event_list_display.php on line 88

I have deactivated, uninstalled and reinstalled the plugins and I am still getting the same error.

Please can you help?

Thanks

This error is caused by having out of date template files (from a previous version) in the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates/ directory. If you have modified templates in that directory, they need to be updated to the new template files included with the current version of the plugin. If you haven’t made any modifications to the templates, these can be removed. If you are not sure if there were modifications made to these files, back these up or rename that folder just in case. eg. rename /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templatesOLD

I have done all of this and it has still not corrected the error!

What else can I do to try and fix the problem?

This is the page – http://www.lets-reach.co.uk/training-events/event-registration/

I’m not seeing a fatal error anywhere on the page.

It’s kinda strange that there is more than one registration form on that page though, you should check your page settings in Event Espresso>General Settings and make sure that the main registration page is pointing to a page with the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode on it.

I had put individual events on there via the short codes, I have now added the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shotcode and the problem has resurfaced.

Now that you can see it can you help? – http://www.lets-reach.co.uk/training-events/event-registration/

There are still older templates in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates. You will need to log in over FTP and rename the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates directory to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates-old

Ok I have now done this and there is still no change

Which directory are you renaming? The one in the /plugins directory or the one in the /uploads directory?

The error is from the event_list_display.php file of the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates directory. If this had actually been renamed, it would not have been able to find any files in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates.

Ah, I see my mistake it is now working

Thank you very much
