Fatal Error issue on Mail chimp update

I deactivated mail chimp, uploaded the new mail chimp zip file, when I click to activate I get this error:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function event_espresso_run_install() in /nfs/c05/h04/mnt/73888/domains/photoelan.com/html/blog/wp-content/plugins/espresso-mailchimp/espresso-mailchimp.php on line 68

the issue appears to be that after updating to EE to 3.1.30.5P I first needed to restart Chrome before it would allow the activation of the newest Mail Chimp. So that did it. it worked.
