False Update notification

My WordPress install is saying that I have an update. After going to the plugin page to update, I don’t see any plugin needing updates. Seems that EE Social and EE Calendar are the reasons this is happening.

I have disabled all themes and plugins but no help. I can activate EE by itself with no error, EE Social by itself with no error, EE cal by itself with no error. But when EE and the social or cal plugins are activated, I get the update notification again.

how do I fix this

Hello,

I reset your licence key. Can you please remove the one you have on your site, save and then (just in case it has changed) copy the licence key from your account back to the settings page and save.

If that doesnt resolve the issue, please let me know.

Thanks but this did not help

Hi,

I have reset the licence again. Can you try one more time for me please?

If not, please advise if there are any plugins or programs that block outbound connections from your site.

Is it possible to get your login details in order to look into this? Though I may still need to refer it onto a developer I would like to see if I can get it to work.

If so, please send them via https://eventespresso.com/contact/

Choose the “I am sending login info as requested” option and fill out the form

Hi, OK, it wasnt the issue that I was thinking it was. Definitely a strange one, as you say, both those add ons are causing it. I will pass this onto a developer to look into. It isn’t harming the site, though understandably annoying.

I assume this only happened on update to 3,1,28?

Hi,

A few more questions if thats ok.

Did this start after upgrading via automatic updates? (i.e clicking the update button rather than manually uploading the plugin)

If so, what version did you upgrade from? and did you just update Event Espresso or did you update add ons as well?

Was there any issues when updating? Errors, time outs, etc.

This has occurred before but its quite rare and we have been unable to pinpoint it so far, so your answers will really help us.

Thanks

This started happening back in Aug. I had to get the license switched to events.tampablackheritage.org from tampablackheritage.org. I was using manual update up until the license key was switched but I don’t remember if this issue started during manually upgrading or auto upgrading.

Never had any issues with the auto update

Thanks for that, one other question. With this being a sub domain, is it a multisite installation?

no
