Failed IPN from Paypal almost daily

I use Paypal to collect money for events – in the past month i get an email from Paypal saying failed IPN I also use S2 member in conjunction with EE – how do I track this down and make it work? I have seen others use Stripe – is this an easy transition to make and easy to implement?

Hi Nicholas,

Stripe processes credit and debit card payments and that payment information is updated in your site immediately. With PayPal Standard, it relies on the IPN to correctly update so it can be delayed.

Switching to Stripe is easy.

1) Register for a Stripe account over on

2) Download the Stripe add-on from your Event Espresso account page

3) Upload it and activate through WP plugins on your site

4) Go to Event Espresso –> Payment Methods –> Stripe and enable it. Then drop in the two credentials for your Stripe account and then save.
