Please refer to closed post 29694. I finally upgraded my plug-in to see if this would rectify the problem and I am still having problem exporting attendees to a file. I still get the following (screen shot): http://i45.tinypic.com/15d9vl4.png

Hi,

As per Chris’ response on the older thread, I am not able to recreate this in FireFox or other browsers.

Is it possible to get your login details in order to look into this?

If so, please send them via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

NOTE: login details need to be Admin level.

Login details form has been completed and sent πŸ™‚ Thanks!

Hi Lisa,

OK, the issue occurred for me too when logged into your site, though I have not been able to recreate it locally.

Right now I think the best thing to do is some testing, which will involve deactivating all plugins except Event Espresso and reactivate one at a time and test the export until the culprit is found or its confirmed its not a plugin.

I tested a few (sociable, feed-stats) but the site was very slow for me so couldnt test more.

Thanks Dean! I will try that πŸ™‚ Can you tell me if it’s possible to add a second email field on the registration form in the case where the invoice needs to be sent to a different person in the organisation?

Hi

For a registrant, you can add a secondary email field by adding a new question/question group. However it will only send the email to the email address in the default email field.

Ok thanks Dean πŸ™‚ That will work. Our admin person just needs to know if the invoice needs to go to someone else. Oh by the way, I upgraded EE on the weekend to the latest version and now it seems we are getting a error 404 when people go to enter a second registrant when using the “group” registration feature. I have been able to duplicate the error in Explorer, Safari, Opera but it seems to work okay when I use Firefox. You can see what I mean if you try to register a second person here for example: https://www.sharedvisions.ca/main-registration-page/?ee=67

Hi Lisa,

Odd issue. The javascript is working, I see the form pop up, but its redirecting the page to a page called undefined, which doesnt exist thus the 404 error.

As such it leads me to believe there is a javascript error somewhere.

I can’t say for certain what is causing it either.

Your WordPres jquery version is older so I believe you are running an older version of WordPress, upgrading may help.

Other than that its back to troubleshooting, deactivate all plugins except EE and bring them back online one by one testing the Add Additional Attendees each time (refresh the page each time).

Thanks Dean… I will try an upgrade on the weekend and keep you posted πŸ™‚

Is it okay to upgrade to WordPress 3.5.1? I am currently using Version 3.1.30.5P but noticed there has been another upgrade to v 3.1.30.6.P? Should I do the upgrade to EE 3.1.30.6.P before doing to WP 3.5.1?

Dean

Hi,

Either way really, Event Espresso 3.1.30.X is compatible with WP 3.5.1

EE version 3.1.30.6 is a hotfix for an unrelated issue.

As always remember to back up the database as a precaution (safety first!)

Ok excellent! Going to be doing an upgrade on the weekend and am hoping this will resolve the issues I have been having πŸ™‚ Thanks again for all your help !!

Hi Dean, regarding your response above:
“For a registrant, you can add a secondary email field by adding a new question/question group. However it will only send the email to the email address in the default email field.”

I added a question titled “Email for invoice” and indicated to add it after the default email field and I can’t seem to get it to show up in on the registration form for some strange reason. Not sure what I am doing wrong… Can you check this out for me. I believe you still have my login information. Thanks! Lisa

Hi Lisa,

I actually just wiped all the login details I have for security reasons. However I would ask, have you added that question to a Question Group and subsequently added that group to an event?

Lisa Deschambault

February 15, 2013 at 6:27 am

No I added this question to “Questions” not “Question Groups” … I wanted this to apply to all the forms for all events… Is this not how it’s done?

Dean

February 15, 2013 at 9:52 am

Hey,

Ok, so the basic process is you have questions and these questions are added to the question groups, the groups in turn are added to the events.

What it means is that you can have one question in many groups (of you want) and the groups can be added to every post or an individual one.

If you want you can add the question to the Personal Information group (name and email one) so it will automatically show that question on every event. Otherwise you need to tick the appropriate tickbox in the events.

Hi Deam, upgraded WordPress last night and am using the latest version of EE and EE-calendar and was still having problems with entering group registrations (problem describes above). I ended up disabling all the plugins and bringing them back on one by one. It ended up being WP Google Analytics plug in that was causing the problem. Just thought I would let you know πŸ™‚ As for my problem with exporting attendees…this has not been rectified even with the upgrades.

Dean

Hey Lisa,

Thanks for letting me know about that plugin, I have added it to the Known Conflicts page.

As for the export issue, it is really weird as I cannot recreate this off your site. As such I am wondering if it is a server issue.

I assume that when you disabled all the plugins for the group registration issue, you tested the export at the same time?

Lisa Deschambault

February 18, 2013 at 3:59 am

Hummm… no I did not try this when all the plug-ins where disabled… I guess I will need to do this down the road. For now I am doing things manually to pull the data … Thanks again for your support πŸ™‚ Make it a great week!!

Dean

You too, let me know if you get any further/different info regarding the export.
