"Export Attendees" After Upgrade Not Working Properly

The “Export All Attendees” button worked prior to upgrading to the most recent version. Now we only get registrations that were done after the upgrade, and can’t export anything prior. This is problematic for events that are still open and taking registrations. Any reason this is happening? There wasn’t an “update database” warning after this upgrade, so I’m not sure what is causing it. We can see the attendee data as we click into the event details, but we can’t export any of the data prior to upgrade.

What version did you upgrade from?

3.0.19.P.36.
It was on a production website, and they were happy with functionality so we didn’t push upgrades often. We launched the upgrade in a dev environment for testing and it worked great – but we didn’t catch the export issue until they started pulling data.

This is a known issue with versions that are so far apart. 3.0.19.P.36 was released more than a year ago, and many things changed in the code making it such that we do not recommend upgrading from 3.0.19.x if you have currently active events for this very reason. The data is all still there, in the database, but it is not being recognized because the plugin is interpreting the data differently. The only way to export attendee data from before the upgrade would be to re-activate the old version to do the export.
