Upon Event expiration, is there a way to update the Event status to “Sold Out” instead of “Expired”? |
|
Hi Kellyjo, Not currently no, an expire event is when the datetimes have passed, a sold out event is when the sold values reach the limits set. Can you provide details on why you want to do this? There may be another way to do what you want without needing to change the status. |

To give the appearance that all events are sold out. |

Hi Kelly, Would if help if we shared an example on how to change the expired messaging to sold out within the ticket selector? If so, could you reply with a link to an event page so we can take a look or please include a link to a screenshot of the event page. Here is how you can share images with us: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/#screenshots — |

Anything would help. Currently, after an event is expired, it has to be changed manually to “Sold Out”. I was wondering if I could automate this process. Here is the URL to the page not currently live. https://kellyjodesignsbywine.com/events-calendar/ One of the events is SOLD OUT but that was done manually. |

Hi, you can’t automatically adjust an event to move from one status to another. On one of your events, I see a waitlist option. I think that is being added through our Ninja Forms waitlist example. You can make an edit so it appears for sold out events and expired events. Try updating your existing sample code snippet to this one: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/b714865100284d6177e0 The highlighted text is the change that allows the waitlists form to appear for expired and sold out events: — |

Thank you Lorenzo, I was able to incorporate that feature. I’ll have my staff manually update the events to SOLD OUT after they expire. |

Hi Kelly, I checked the other event on your events calendar which appears to be expired and I did not see the waitlist option appearing there. Were you able to update the code snippet for waitlists? — |

Everything worked out Lorenzo. This is resolved. Waitlists will show on expired events and events that are sold out. For those labels that said “Expired”, I basically opened all the core files in Dreamweaver and replaced every instance of “Expired” with “Sold Out”. |
